Autosampler for high sample throughput and routine overnight operation

The AS-F and AS-FD autosamplers for flame and hydride technologies and AS-GF for graphite furnace use provide unique flexibility and efficiency in routine analysis. In addition to standard functions, the autosamplers provide automatic sample feed and standard preparation, intelligent sample dilution and concentration, automated dosage of modifiers and automatic depth adjustment. Combined with high dosage accuracy and intelligent cleaning control when concentrations are exceeded, they make unattended operations (even overnight) a matter of routine and ensure smooth processes and high sample throughputs. Sample preparation is reduced to a minimum, improving the cost per sample and your profitability.

AS-FD allows for fully automatic sample dilution up to a factor of 1:800 for a single dilution step.

Easy handling of matrix-rich samples – Switching valve technology - SFS 6.0

The Segmented Flow Star, SFS 6.0, allows for the sample feed system and the burner head to be continuously rinsed thanks to the segmented feed of very small sample volumes by means of time-controlled flow injection. This results in more stable flame temperatures and consequently better analytical precision. The SFS 6.0 also reduces carryover effects on samples with high salt and matrix content, sample consumption, and the risk of burner head clogging.

Automatic burner head cleaning – the Scraper

The Scraper, an intelligent cleaning device for the burner head, makes operations easier, especially when using the acetylene/nitrous oxide flame. It automatically cleans the burner slot before each measurement as well as in standby mode, ensuring continuous and reproducible measurements in routine analysis, and increasing laboratory safety and precision of results.

Hydride systems for the detection of mercury and hydride-forming elements

A selection of modular hydride systems allows for the targeted analysis of mercury and hydride-forming elements such as antimony, arsenic, and selenium in flame and graphite furnace mode. Batch, flow, and amalgamation setups can be used, depending on your application. All hydride systems are compliant with the appropriate DIN, ISO, EPA and ASTM methods for mercury and hydride testing.

Solid sampler: SSA 600 with liquid dosing module for direct solid AAS

SSA 600 provides the prerequisites for the application of solid AA for direct solid AAS in routine analysis. A specially optimized sample carrier can be used for many kinds of solids and ensures reliable transfer processes in sample feeding and optimum atomizing conditions in the solid tube. Not only transport of the loaded sample carrier into the furnace but also weighing with the fully integrated microbalance is completely automated. An optional liquid dosing unit allows a calibration with liquid standards and the automatic addition of modifiers.

Sample supply using oneFAST

With the use of oneFAST accessories, sample throughput is increased by reducing the sample volume and rinsing times – thus reducing operating costs. It contains a fully automatic and easy to install unit with injection valve and vacuum pump. oneFAST accessories can be used as a stand-alone unit or as an integrated valve module. It is compatible with the ASPQ 3300 autosampler and the Cetac ASX-5xx autosampler and is also available as an upgrade option for autosamplers.

ABD — automatic boat drive with cooled sample port (multi EA 5100)

The automatic boat drive with cooled sample port is designed for the fast and automatic introduction of quartz boats with liquid and solid samples into the analyzer. The cooled port also enables the analysis of very light volatile and reactive samples. Combustion is controlled and monitored with the flame sensor to ensure optimal digestion conditions and to prevent formation of soot.

Autoinjector AI-SC /AI-EA (compEAct / multi EA 5100)

Automated injection, even without an autosampler. Flexible filling volumes and dosing speeds allow an optimal adaption to every sample type and concentration range. The sampling takes place manually by the operator, the injection is carried out automatically, controlled by the software.

Autoinjector AI (multi EA 5000 / multi X 2500)

The smallest and lightest semi-automatic dosing device on the market. Automatic injection of liquid samples up to a volume of 100 µL. Dose as precise as an autosampler thanks to the fixed filling volumes of its application-optimized syringes. The sampling takes place manually by the operator, the injection is carried out automatically, controlled by the device's multiWin software.

Autosampler LS1 (compEAct)

Designed for convenient automation of small sample throughputs, the LS1 is the ideal solution for automated processing of small sample series. The LS1 provides 18 positions for dosing liquids using direct injection. Automatic additional rinse cycles with sample or solvent are possible at any time. This protects the system from contamination and increases the stability of the analysis results, ideal also for samples with highly varying concentrations.

Autosampler LS2 (compEAct)

An optimum solution for high sample throughputsthe LS2 provides 120 positions for dosing liquids using direct injection. Sample quantity and dosing speed can be defined by the operator. Automatic additional rinse cycles with sample or solvent are possible at any time. Autosampler LS-T (compEAct)

An optimum solution for high challenging liquids – The LS-T provides 112 positions for dosing liquids using direct injection. The dosing syringes and the sample is temperature controllable. The effective cooling enables safe and quantitative dosing of very light volatile liquids. The heating option eases the direct dosing of liquids with slightly increased viscosity. Sample quantity and dosing speed can be defined by the operator. Automatic additional rinse cycles with sample or solvent are possible at any time. This protects the system from contamination and increases the stability of the analysis results, ideal also for samples with highly varying concentrations.

Solids Autosampler FPG 48 (multi EA 4000)

Automatic sampler for the introduction of solid and pasty samples for elemental analysis and TOC and TC determination with the multi EA 4000. The samples are weighed in ceramic or quartz boats and automatically introduced into the combustion system. The speed of the sample introduction can be selected by the software which allows the analysis of very reactive samples.

GSS – Gas Sampling-System (multi EA 5100, compEAct)

The system is designed for the introduction of gaseous samples into the elemental analyzers multi EA 5100 and compEAct. In it´s standard configuration the GSS handles unpressurized gases (gas bags), for the directly dosing of compressed gases the optional GSS adapter box is used. Dosing volumes of up to 100 mL of the gas sample at variable dosage speeds are freely selectable by the operator. 

GSS/LPG Combi Module (compEAct, multi EA 5100)

This space-saving combination of two matrix-optimized gas samplers is the perfect solution for flexible gas analysis. The GSS and LPG sampling branches are isolated from each another, which means that cross-contamination is impossible. The sample volumes are freely selectable and can be flexibly varied within a wide range. The GSS branch has been developed specifically for the dosing of pressurized gases. The LPG branch is optimized for the precise, automatic dosing of liquefied pressurized gases (LPG). The high-performance Peltier cooling of the dosing valve prevents uncontrolled, too early evaporation of the LPG and thus bubble formation. A heated evaporation chamber and the use of SilcoNert TM-coated components ensure the complete transfer of all sample components even in the trace range.

LPG 2.0 Module (compEAct, multi EA 5100)

The LPG 2.0 module is ideally suited for the precise, automatic dosing of highly pressurized LPGs. There is no need for expensive sample pre-treatment like compression or an expansion in gas bags. Sampling is done directly from the liquid phase, effectively avoiding sample changes or a loss of sample components by adsorption or condensation effects. The high-performance Peltier cooling of the dosing valve prevents uncontrolled, too early evaporation of the sample matrix and thus bubble formation. The sample volumes can variably be defined by the user. A heated evaporation chamber and the use of SilcoNert TM-coated components ensure the complete transfer of all sample components even in the trace range.

MMS – Multi Matrix Sampler (multi EA 5100)

The MMS is an universal autosampler platform, which easily can be extended by various accessory kits to enable fully automated dosing of liquids, solids, TOC, AOX and EOX samples. Thanks to a temperature-controllable kit, even extremely light volatile liquids or highly viscose liquids can be dosed directly safe and precise without the need for a time-consuming pretreatment stop like dilution. This allows a high degree of automation, independent of the type of sample matrix. The MMS can be used for vertical as well as horizontal applications, an extension or reconfiguration is possible at any time.

MMS-T – Multi Matrix Sampler (multi EA 5100)

The MMS-T is an universal autosampler platform for fully automated direct dosing of versatile liquid samples. Thanks to it´s temperature-controllable dosing syringes and sample tray even challenging liquids can be dosed easily. The cooling mode enables the safe and quantitative injection of very light volatile liquids. The heating mode allows for fast processing of highly viscose liquids. Thanks to the increased temperature these samples can be injected directly without dilution. The MMS-T allows a high degree of automation, independent of the volatility and viscosity. The MMS-T can be used for vertical as well as horizontal applications. The system can be extended by a special solids kit, enabling the fully automated dosing of solid samples.

TIC Solids Module (multi EA 4000)

The TIC solids module complements the multi EA 4000 for manual direct determination of TIC in solids by acidification and purging of the produced carbon dioxide, which is then detected by the NDIR detector of the basic device. The TIC module makes it possible to determine TOC using the difference method (TC-TIC=TOC).

The TIC solids module “automatic” in combination with the FPG 48 solids autosampler extends the multi EA 4000 for fully automated direct determination of TIC in solids by acidification and purging of the produced carbon dioxide, which is then detected by the NDIR detector of the basic device. The automated TOC determination by direct as well as differential method are possible as well.

The extension of the multi EA 5100 / multi X 2500 with the TOC module enables the determination of various carbon species in aqueous samples by digestion with the aid of thermo-catalytic high-temperature oxidation according to national and international regulations.
