Variants

All variants of the CyBio SELMA are stand-alone semi-automated pipetting devices. However, each model works with different sized pipetting heads and microplates, as outlined below:

CyBio SELMA 96/25 µl
Includes a 96 channel pipetting head from 0.5 till 25 µl and 2 working positions for 96 well plates

CyBio SELMA 96/60 µl
Includes a 96 channel pipetting head from 1 till 60 µl and 2 working positions for 96 well plates

CyBio SELMA 96/250 µl
Includes a 96 channel pipetting head from 5 till 250 µl and 2 working positions for 96 well plates

CyBio SELMA 96/1000 µl
Includes a 96 channel pipetting head from 10 till 1000 µl and 2 working positions for 96 well plates

CyBio SELMA 384/25 µl

*The specification of precision and trueness is based on the Analytik Jena internal gravimetric and photometric standard measurement procedure, which is published as Annex B7 in the ISO IWA 15 document ”Specification and method for the determination of volumetric performance of automated liquid handling systems“ (www.IWA15.org). The Application Note "Photometric and Gravimetric Liquid Handling Check Procedure to determine the Random Error (Precision) and the Systematic Error (Accuracy) of Automated Liquid Handling Systems (ALHS)“ describes this measuremet procedure in detail.
Every modification of this method may influence the results.

Accessories

8-channel magazine

The 8-channel tip magazine allows for serial dilutions and column-wise working with the CyBio SELMA..

384-well plate adapter

This microplate adapter allows positioning of 384-well microplates on both positions of the CyBio SELMA 96-channel versions. The adapter additionally supports working with 384-well disks by displaying the currently processed index.

Side-Touch Adapter

The Side-Touch adapter allows for a manual spring-loaded movement of the microplate in X- and Y- direction to perform a side-touch of the pipetting tips. After releasing the adapter, it will move back to a centered position for normal operation.

Microplate adapters for REMP plates or Protein Applications

With these microplate adapters, it is possible to process REMP plates or to prefill GREINER CrystalQuick plates and Hampton Research MRC 2 Well Plates for Protein Crystallization on the CyBio SELMA. The adapters position the microplates correctly under the tips and can be used on both CyBio SELMA pipetting positions.

Special CyBio SELMA Worktable

This special 2-splitted table will change working position 1 of the CyBio SELMA in order to work with high reservoirs and other accessories, like vacuum chambers.
