High-Throughput Extraction with CyBio FeliX
The CyBio FeliX liquid handling platform was optimized by Analytik Jena for high-throughput extraction of nucleic acids. With this system you can achieve considerably faster results and higher result quality when extracting viral RNA. Analytik Jena offers a special CyBio FeliX Extraction Set, a complete solution consisting of hardware, kits and software tailored for extraction. With this set you can purify up to 96 samples in parallel and fully automated. Predefined extraction applications make your work easier. Simply select the protocol for virus extraction in the software and start your application with a few clicks - time-consuming programming is not required. The CyBio FeliX is available in a Clean Bench version on request - the Extraction Set also works with this model. The CyBio FeliX and the CyBio FeliX Extraction Set are designed for high throughput extraction applications. If you want to process a lower number of samples, Analytik Jena offers you more specialized solutions. For example, the InnuPure C16 touch and optimized extraction kits are available the flexible extraction from 1-16 samples. The kits use the same extraction chemistry as the kits for the CyBio FeliX.
High-Throughput Extraction of Viral RNA from Respiratory Swabs
The innuPREP Virus TS RNA Kit 2.0 FX is an extraction kit for viral RNA from respiratory swabs. The kit is available –as package size for 96 reactions. The elution volume is between 50 and 200 µl. The kit is designed for use with the CyBio FeliX and provides you with the fastest results and best yield. The extraction time is 62 minutes. The yield depends on the quality of the starting material and the viral load, but usually exceeds the yield of conventional methods considerably. Avoid freezing and thawing your samples for the highest possible yield. The kits are designed for sample volumes of 200 µl (isolation from swabs stored under physiologic saline) and 400 µl (direct isolation from swab sample). For optimal results, you should therefore ensure that these volumes are maintained.
Everything - Prefilling & Consumables
The innuPREP Virus TS RNA Kit 2.0 FX is not available prefilled. You must transfer the reagents to the appropriate wells of the plates prior to the extraction process. You can fill the reagents either manually or automatically. With the innuPREP Prefilling Set, Analytik Jena offers you a convenient solution for automated prefilling with the CyBio FeliX. The prefilling protocols required are already predefined and available in the software. Necessary hardware components are also already included in the CyBio FeliX Extraction Set. Manual prefilling takes about 15 minutes for 96 samples. Depending on the available lab equipment and number of samples, this number may vary slightly. The automated prefilling takes about 50 minutes. Appropriate plasticware is included in the kit as well. All plastics are adapted to the extraction application. You may use tube racks in 96-well format from other manufacturers. However, they should be in the standardized SLAS format.

The Application Studio CyBio FeliX eXtract simplifies your extraction with intuitive controls and many comfort features. The software is designed to make your work experience as easy as possible. You simply select the kit to be used, enter the start and elution volume, press “Start” and your extraction workflow begins. The respective walk-away time is displayed in the user interface.
