USB Driver Issue after Windows Update Important Information
To improve security, Microsoft Windows updated their policies regarding driver signature validation. When the latest Windows security patch is installed, previously installed USB drivers may no longer be recognized as trusted. In such cases, communication with the instrument may be interrupted or no longer possible. This can affect all instruments of the AAS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, UV/Vis, and qPCR portfolio. AOX, CNSX, TOC/TNb, PCR, and Liquid Handling/Automation instruments are unaffected.
Our engineering teams have thoroughly analyzed the situation and successfully identified the root cause. Based on this, we proactively have developed an updated and fully compliant driver solution. Analytik Jena has implemented a solution by updating the driver certification and installation package to comply with the current Microsoft requirements. A detailed technical explanation is provided in the corresponding Technical Statement, which is available together with the updated driver.
The update can be installed easily and efficiently by your team, without the need for an on-site service visit. Our objective is to ensure a fast resolution while minimizing any disruption to your operations.
