In analysis of organic materials, especially the gases and liquefied pressurized gas samples pose not only a challenge for the analyst and hardware, but also risk potential for health and safety, when being handled improperly. Besides chromatography and IR-techniques for identification and subsequent quantification of specific compounds or compound classes, the combustion based elemental analysis is widely spread for determination of total nitrogen and chlorine, as undesired impurities, like in propylene and hydrogen, or the total sulfur, either undesired as contamination, or desired as additive for product improvement and safety, like odorant in natural gas for heating.

In this web seminar we want to share specifically our application experience for analysis of gas and LPG samples. As user of combustion elemental analysis technique, you will learn on basis of real-world application examples how you can optimize your analytical workflow to gain fast and easy the reliable results you need, fully compliant to the relevant industry standards like ASTM D6667, D7551, DIN EN 17178, or UOP 910.

Important questions like, which sample treatment and sample supply strategies should be used, how to optimize the combustion process to be safe and soot-free, and most important, which calibration strategies fits my application, will be addressed in detail. User from oil and gas, refineries, petrochemical and chemical industry and related contract labs, and R&D center will benefit from this web-seminar.
