Autosampler for high sample throughput and routine overnight operation
The AS-F and AS-FD autosamplers for flame and hydride technologies and AS-GF for graphite furnace use provide unique flexibility and efficiency in routine analysis. In addition to standard functions, the autosamplers provide automatic sample feed and standard preparation, intelligent sample dilution and concentration, automated dosage of modifiers and automatic depth adjustment. Combined with high dosage accuracy and intelligent cleaning control when concentrations are exceeded, they make unattended operations (even overnight) a matter of routine and ensure smooth processes and high sample throughputs. Sample preparation is reduced to a minimum, improving the cost per sample and your profitability.
AS-FD allows for fully automatic sample dilution up to a factor of 1:800 for a single dilution step.
Easy handling of matrix-rich samples – Switching valve technology - SFS 6.0
The Segmented Flow Star, SFS 6.0, allows for the sample feed system and the burner head to be continuously rinsed thanks to the segmented feed of very small sample volumes by means of time-controlled flow injection. This results in more stable flame temperatures and consequently better analytical precision. The SFS 6.0 also reduces carryover effects on samples with high salt and matrix content, sample consumption, and the risk of burner head clogging.
Automatic burner head cleaning – the Scraper
The Scraper, an intelligent cleaning device for the burner head, makes operations easier, especially when using the acetylene/nitrous oxide flame. It automatically cleans the burner slot before each measurement as well as in standby mode, ensuring continuous and reproducible measurements in routine analysis, and increasing laboratory safety and precision of results.
Intuitive method development for the graphite furnace – USB oven camera
Optimization and monitoring of atomization conditions for ideal signal characteristics and very short integration times.

Accessories for Elemental Analysis
ABD — automatic boat drive with cooled sample port (multi EA 5000)
The automatic boat drive with cooled sample port is designed for the automatic introduction of quartz boats with liquid and solid samples into the analyzer. The cooled port also enables the analysis of very light volatile and reactive samples. Combustion can be controlled and monitored with an optional flame sensor to ensure optimal digestion conditions and to prevent formation of soot.
Autoinjector AI (compEAct)
Automated injection even without an autosampler. Flexible filling volumes and dosing speeds allow an optimal adaption to every sample type and concentration range. The sampling takes place manually by the operator, the injection is carried out automatically, controlled by the EAvolution software.
Autoinjector (multi EA 5000)
The smallest and lightest semi-automatic dosing device on the market. Automatic injection of liquid samples up to a volume of 100 µl. Dose as precise as an autosampler thanks to the fixed filling volumes of its application-optimized syringes. The sampling takes place manually by the operator, the injection is carried out automatically, controlled by the device's multiWin software.
Autosampler LS1 (compEAct)
Convenient automation of small sample throughputs – The ideal solution for automated processing of small sample series. The LS 1 provides 18 positions for dosing liquids using direct injection. Automatic additional rinse cycles with sample or solvent are possible at any time. This protects the system from contamination and increases the stability of the analysis results, ideal also for samples with highly varying concentrations.
Autosampler LS2 (compEAct)
Optimum solution for high sample throughputs – The LS 2 provides 120 positions for dosing liquids using direct injection. Sample quantity and dosing speed can be defined by the operator. Automatic additional rinse cycles with sample or solvent are possible at any time. This protects the system from contamination and increases the stability of the analysis results, also ideal for samples with highly varying concentrations.
Solids Autosampler FPG 48 (multi EA 4000)
Automatic sampler for the introduction of solid and pasty samples for elemental analysis and TOC and TC determination with the multi EA 4000. The samples are weighed in ceramic or quartz boats and automatically introduced into the combustion system. The speed of the sample introduction can be selected by the software which allows the analysis of very reactive samples.
GSS – Gas Sampling-System (multi EA 5000, compEAct)
The system is designed for the introduction of gaseous samples in an unpressurized condition into the elemental analyzer multi EA 5000 and compEAct. The sample has to be filled/expanded into a gas bag and is then dosed into the reactor of multi EA 5000 or compEAct. The standard version doses up to 100 ml of the gas sample at variable dosage speeds. Thanks to the GSS adapter-box, an optional accessory, the direct analysis of pressurized gases is possible.
GSS/LPG Combi Module (compEAct, multi EA 5000)
This space-saving combination of two matrix-optimized gas samplers is the perfect solution for flexible gas analysis. The GSS and LPG sampling branches are isolated from each another, which means that cross-contamination is impossible. The sample volumes are freely selectable and can be flexibly varied within a wide range. The GSS branch has been developed specifically for the dosing of pressurized gases. The LPG branch is optimized for the precise, automatic dosing of pressurized liquefied gases.
LPG 2.0 Module (compEAct, multi EA 5000)
The LPG module is ideally suited for the precise, automatic dosing of LPGs. There is no need for expensive sample pre-treatment like compression or an expansion in TedlarTM Bags. Sampling is done directly from the liquid phase, effectively avoiding sample changes or a loss of sample components by adsorption or condensation effects. The high-performance Peltier cooling of the dosing valve prevents uncontrolled, early evaporation of the sample matrix and thus bubble formation. The sample volumes can variably be defined by the user. A heated evaporation chamber and the use of SulfinertTM-coated components ensure the complete transfer of all sample components even in the trace range.
MMS 5000 – Multi Matrix Sampler (multi EA 5000)
The sampler MMS 5000 is designed for the automatic introduction of liquid and solid samples for analysis with the multi EA 5000. It allows a high degree of automation in routine analysis. The sampler can be used for both the vertical and the horizontal furnace modes. It can be complemented with diverse sample tablets for different applications e.g., dosing of solids and liquids, AOX, EOX, and TOC samples. A heated version is also available for direct dosing of samples with increased viscosity.
TIC Solids Module (multi EA 4000)
The TIC solids module complements the multi EA 4000 for manual direct determination of TIC in solids by acidification and purging of the produced carbon dioxide, which is then detected by the NDIR detector of the basic device. The TIC module makes it possible to determine TOC using the difference method (TC-TIC=TOC).
TIC Solids Module "automatic" (multi EA 4000)
The TIC solids module “automatic” in combination with the FPG 48 solids autosampler extends the multi EA 4000 for fully automated direct determination of TIC in solids by acidification and purging of the produced carbon dioxide, which is then detected by the NDIR detector of the basic device. The automated TOC determination by direct as well as differential method are possible as well.
TOC Module (multi EA 5000, multi X 2500)
The extension of the multi EA 5000 / multi X 2500 with the TOC module enables the determination of the carbon content in aqueous samples by digestion with the aid of thermo-catalytic high-temperature oxidation according to national and international regulations.
